Subreddit Rules
- Not in Esthetics? Please don’t post. : You may read, but we are not here to provide answers to your questions.
- Estheticians only can ask questions : If you are not a licensed professional, you are not permitted to post here. We are not here to provide free consultations or advice. Your post will be removed instantly, and result in being banned.
- Do not spam your business, blog, products or shill.: Posting self-promotion will be removed and will result in a ban. You may ask for general advice, such as requesting feedback, but do not provide any identifying information, such as links, business name, logos, etc. Do NOT ask to be followed in any social media. We are not here to market your business.
- No medical advice.: Estheticians are not allowed to ask or offer medical advice that is outside of their scope of practice. Please refer your client to a doctor, dermatologist or nutritionist for proper treatments.
- Ingredient discussion allowed, but no scare tactics.: We support scientific findings and legitimate research on skincare. Any claims about the safety or effects of an ingredient, product or treatment that cannot be backed up with legitimate research or credible link, will be removed by a moderator. If there are interesting reports and new science regarding something with verifiable links, feel free to share.
- Zero tolerance for verbal abuse
- unprofessional verbal behavior, uncalled for comments, snarky replies, name calling. Do it and you’re permanently banned. Think: Is this how I should act as a professional in a business setting?
- Promoting web-design, or software? Not permitted!: We are not here for you to market your business services, market your software, web-design services, or ask our professionals how to start a med-spa with no background in esthetics or dermatology. Permanent ban.
- Estheticians/Students: DO NOT ANSWER questions or provide advice to non-professionals. : Keep our group free-flowing by discouraging non-practitioners and NOT ANSWERING their questions, or providing advice. There are plenty of other groups they can go to. This unnecessary “traffic“ detracts from the purpose of this group to educate and edify one another, and build our skill sets; answering non-pro’s creates a lot of unnecessary scrolling, and encourages more of this unwanted behavior.
