Subreddit Rules
- No Off-Topic Posts: This subreddit is specifically for computer engineering content. Posts not directly related to computer engineering (P.C. building, I.T., general engineering, etc.) should be directed to the appropriate subreddits.
- Civil Discussions: People disagree, and that's ok. However, personal attacks are never warranted. If you disagree with someone, post evidence (when applicable) clarify your position.
- No flagrant advertising: A post that simply advertises a product/service/YouTube channel etc. is not allowed. Occasional posts from creators making computer engineering content are perfectly acceptable (such as posting a link to a video they've made). However, try and limit this to no more than once a week.
- No homework problems that have not been previously attempted: There are subreddits dedicated to homework help, and there are a seemingly infinite amount of resources online to help you at least start your problem.
- School/job questions should be asked on the weekly pinned threads: To prevent repeated questions from flooding the subreddit, questions related to jobs and schools should be asked on the weekly pinned threads.
- No "low-effort" posts: Try and put some thought and effort when you are making a post. If you're asking a question, provide the necessary details about what you are doing (e.g., exactly what you're using). Many problems/questions can be answered with a quick internet search. Use your best judgement on this.
- No Computer/Laptop Recommendation Questions: These questions really don't have anything to do with computer engineering (as a subject matter), and there are dedicated subreddits to laptop recommendations. Please use those.
