Subreddit Rules
  1. No Off-Topic Posts: This subreddit is specifically for computer engineering content. Posts not directly related to computer engineering (P.C. building, I.T., general engineering, etc.) should be directed to the appropriate subreddits.
  2. Civil Discussions: People disagree, and that's ok. However, personal attacks are never warranted. If you disagree with someone, post evidence (when applicable) clarify your position.
  3. No flagrant advertising: A post that simply advertises a product/service/YouTube channel etc. is not allowed. Occasional posts from creators making computer engineering content are perfectly acceptable (such as posting a link to a video they've made). However, try and limit this to no more than once a week.
  4. No homework problems that have not been previously attempted: There are subreddits dedicated to homework help, and there are a seemingly infinite amount of resources online to help you at least start your problem.
  5. School/job questions should be asked on the weekly pinned threads: To prevent repeated questions from flooding the subreddit, questions related to jobs and schools should be asked on the weekly pinned threads.
  6. No "low-effort" posts: Try and put some thought and effort when you are making a post. If you're asking a question, provide the necessary details about what you are doing (e.g., exactly what you're using). Many problems/questions can be answered with a quick internet search. Use your best judgement on this.
  7. No Computer/Laptop Recommendation Questions: These questions really don't have anything to do with computer engineering (as a subject matter), and there are dedicated subreddits to laptop recommendations. Please use those.
