- No discussion of illegal activity: Do not discuss smuggling items into the festival, fake IDs, fence hopping, or anything else that is or could be considered illegal. This includes things that are not illegal but are banned at the festival.

- #4 (Not #3) Be Nice: Trolls will be banned, as will those that are repeatedly negative, mean, condescending, judgmental, or derogatory.
- Comments that can be seen as playful jabs or gentle ribbing among sub regulars will be accepted.
- Examples include "get off my lawn" and "you must be fun at parties."
- Also, telling someone they're being a dick does not qualify as actually being a dick.
- But legitimate harassment and attacks will 100% be acted upon.

- Music News/Artist Updates Welcome Within Reason: Seeing as this is a music festival sub, we fully welcome updates about past and potential future festival acts including new music and tour announcements. That said, redundancies will be removed. This means if someone posts a Pitchfork article about a band then 2 hours later someone posts a similar CoS article with the same story with nothing new to add, it will be deleted. This is all up to the interpretation of the Mods and will not be simply black and white.
- No Live Streams: Absolutely no posting of rips from the livestream. This is copyright protected content and can get the sub shut down. We get in trouble every year over this and have been threatened to be shut down by GoldenVoice. Any posts we see will be immediately deleted.
- No Politics: This is a music festival sub, not r/politics or r/the_donald. If you want to debate policy or your feelings on the orange guy, please go elsewhere. This includes debating an artist's politics.
- No Complaining About Votes: If you're being downvoted, people must have their reasons, calling attention to it will only inevitably lead to more downvotes. This is a democracy, people are allowed to use their imaginary internet points however they like.
- You wouldn't comment on an instagram post "WHY ISN'T ANYBODY LIKING THIS?!?!?" would you?
