- Be Civil & Respectful: It should be obvious why we don't allow people to personally insult others, including the team, and doing so will get you suspended or banned, depending on severity or repeat offenses. It makes everyone feel a little less welcome. Be nice to your fellow Hornets fans, and the team we support. This rule applies to messages in modmail as well.
- No Trolling or Baiting Users: Do not post or comment with the purpose of trolling or inciting reactions from other users, including drama bait. This will lead to a suspension or ban, depending on severity or repeat offenses. Don't be offensive just to be offensive. We have no tolerance for brigading.
- No Racist, Sexist or Homophobic Language: This is an automatic ban. We want everyone no matter their age, gender, sexual preferences or race to feel welcome in this subreddit. This includes jokes or quotes that include such language.
- No Reposts: Make sure the content you are posting has not already been submitted by another user, even if very similar.
- No Fake News: Any blatant attempt to grab attention or troll with a fake news headline will result in a suspension. Repeat offenders will get banned. Make sure your news comes from a reputable source; no bots/repost accounts.
- No Self-Promotion: Self promotion includes, but is not limited to:
- Promoting or linking to your Youtube channel, site, blog, etc. * Promoting or linking to your design website, fan art, logo or court redesigns, etc. * Trying to sell merchandise (t-shirts, jerseys, artwork, etc).
- There's a big difference between people that are trying to use our subreddit for their own personal gain and people that are just trying to share something with the community.
- No NSFW Content: NSFW content will be removed and violators will be suspended or banned, depending on severity. This includes images of pornography, violence and other mature themes.
- No Selling/Buying of Tickets or Merchandise: This is not a marketplace.
- Post Formatting (Linked Content Only): Post titles for linked content should include the exact text of the social media post or title of the article/video. Prefixing with the author in brackets is optional. If the title is too long, it's fine to shorten it
- images of posts; link it for author credit.
- Do not include your opinion in the title when linking to content; this should be a separate comment on your post. Do not use titles like "thoughts on this?" when linking to external content; this can be part of the post body.
- Posts and comments must be relevant to the Charlotte Hornets: Posts that are irrelevant for this subreddit include, but is not limited to: politics, video games, 2K, fantasy, gambling and college players.
- Comments that purposely derail the discussion of a post may be removed and repeat offenses could lead to a suspension or ban.
