Subreddit Rules
- Critically Kind Commentary Only: This community is built on bringing light to the bad behavior of these boutique owners. But we will not tolerate spewing toxic hate. We want to be critically kind and provide a community for people to share their thoughts and opinions and make informed decisions about supporting any of these Boutiques.
- Keep in mind that a lot of us are here because a boutique owner has been toxic so I don't want this space to become the same thing.
- No invasive posts about Minors (especially no images): We will not tolerate comments regarding any minors. While children are often the topic of discussion for these Boutique owners, we will not tolerate any criticism towards minors
- speculation or criticism of the kids is allowed at all. We will only allow discussion about posts by the boutique owners. If they post about it publicly, we can discuss it. Otherwise keep it off this sub. Also always blur out minors in photos when posting about it.
- No Hate Speech: Remember there's a human behind every keyboard.
- Hate speech is defined as abusive or threatening speech that expresses prejudice against a particular group, especially on the basis of race, religion, gender expression, or sexual orientation. We'll tolerate no bigoted, xenophobic, transphobic, homophobic, racist, ableist, antisemitic, or misogynistic language.
- Please Use trigger warnings for sensitive topics when applicable to help protect our members.
- doxxing, meaning we will not permit posting anyone’s private or personal information (names, addresses, phone numbers, place of work etc). This includes doxxing Reddit accounts
- posting names, social accounts etc. This is a safe space to anonymously post your opinions.
- No Defamation: Defamation is defined as the action of damaging the good reputation of someone with lies. A comment is defamatory if it lowers or harms the reputation of a person or organization. This group is built around expressing our opinions about how these boutiques and brands are run. However when your statements go past your opinion and start to become false claims that could result in legal action, then we won't allow it in this group.
- No Bullying or Overly Insulting Language: While this group is full of opinions, there is no room for being nasty. Don't personally insult or harass other participants. Always focus on the logic of the argument rather than the individuals involved in the argument. Participants are entitled to choose not to enter into debate with you. This includes harsh language. A lot of harsh language is filtered out by Reddit and we will likely keep from approving these comments if they're contributing nothing to the conversation beyond harsh words.
