  1. Sharing personal information: ‎Do not publicly post your own or other's personal information (email, ID, Payment Addresses). Posting another's personal information is a violation of Reddit's TOS. This should be disclosed privately through 1-1 communication.
  2. No spamming the community: Strictly only 1 request for a loan/handout every 24 hours unless your post has been removed for title compliance and a warning (not ban) has been issued.
  3. Prepaying or deposits for loans: ‎Asking for an up front payment before lending, paying a deposit or any exchange of money prior to the terms of the stated loan is strictly prohibited.
  4. No Tasks/KYC/Referral links : Tasks/KYC/Account Purchase/Referral links of any kind are prohibited in BorrowNew.‎
  5. Cold messaging lenders: Do not contact lenders to look at your post, or to contact them to pitch them on a loan opportunity. Submit your post to the subreddit like everyone else, and wait for a lender to take notice before contacting them.‎
  6. Scamming / unpaid loans: Scamming of any kind is absolutely unacceptable. Additionally a loan received must be repaid in a reasonable time period.‎
  7. UK loans: Due to regulations on UK loaning, requesting a loan with interest added on to the repayment is strictly prohibited in this sub.
  8. Request Formatting: You must flair your post as a loan request or handout needed, and include the following key items in your title: Request Amount, location, repayment amount, repayment date, and supported payment providers.
  9. Example: $50, FL, Repay $70 on 09/18, Paypal / Cashapp, Looking to borrow for vet bills.
  10. Additionally any dates in your title must be in US format: MM/DD

  12. No piggybacking : Do not ask for loans/assistance on someone else’s post. Create your own post.
  13. No Crossposting
  14. Crossposting from other subreddits. If you can't take the time to write a unique and compliant post within our subreddit, then you don't deserve to be asking for money.
  15. Loan Stacking without approval: When a borrower has an existing loan, they should not be adding additional loans without written consent from their existing lender. Additionally other lenders should be checking with the existing lender prior to fulfilling them.
  16. If a borrower is overdue on a previously provided loan, they may not make additional requests or be provided with additional loans until all overdue loans are repaid. Any loan that is not repaid by the originally recorded due date is considered late, even if extended.
  17. No deleting request posts: Deleting request posts, fulfilled or not is against the rules. Deleting and reposting a request is also against the rules. Lenders want to see a request history.
