- There are already good subreddits for Tumblr, etc. so please also enjoy those.
- 2 - Please be polite: In the spirit of Bluesky’s initial culture, please try to be polite even when vehemently disagreeing with something. Do you really need to use a cliché insult? Yes, this includes “magat” “libtard” and the many other unoriginal political labels.
- 3 - Post must not be a repeat: Please do not post a skeet if it has already been posted here in the last six months.
- No spam or commercial advertising: If a skeet is just you advertising something for sale (like those pet t-shirt scams), that is still advertising when posted here.
- 5 - No trolling or blatant disinformation: If a basic fact can be quickly confirmed with an online search of credible sources, don’t feign ignorance. Claiming you are “only asking questions” or similar lines is not an excuse for spreading obvious disinformation. If you are posting something to get a reaction — e.g. taunting or gauding others — then use another subreddit.
- Say when a Bluesky post includes “AI” fake images: Make explicit when a Bluesky post includes fake photo-realistic images. Cartoons are fine, but don’t present something as real which is actually just an “AI” fake.
- Include evidence that your post is actually from Bluesky.: A link to the original skeet is helpful. So is leaving in the name of the source Bluesky account.
- 8 - No Brigading: This is a general rule across Reddit. For political posts especially, do not make a comment which specifically names a political subreddit. It’s essentially trolling.
- For innocent posts of animals or jokes, it’s fine to direct OP to another appropriate subreddit.
- 9 - No Bluesky posts that repost a tweet without any additional substantial comment or context: Do not post here a Bluesky post is just reposting a post from X without any additional comment or information. There are already subreddits for posting content from Twitter. Reposters on Blueskt can at least add a joke title to frame the original post or say more than “👇👇👇” or “This.”
