Subreddit Rules
  1. Relevance: All submissions should be relevant to the Redmond/Bend and/or Central Oregon area. There's room around this, at times-- no one likes this rule but it's the one we will fall back on most of the time. If a post doesn't fit in here, you should probably take it to /r/Oregon.
  2. Incivility and/or Harrasment: Includes Name-calling, doxxing, or explicit use of racist, misogynist/misandrist, transphobic or homophobic language.
  3. This place is inclusive. If you're going to be a jerk, take it to the KTVZ comment section.
  4. No threatening language or usernames: Do not post content that encourages, glorifies, incites, or calls for violence or physical or even self-harm against an individual or a group of people. This *includes* Californians, if you must ask.
  5. Sexually suggestive content, usernames, or trolling for hookups is strictly forbidden.
  6. No trolling (within reason): People like to troll and be funny.
  7. There's a limit and that limit is vague *but it exists*. If your purpose here at /r/bend is take make other peoples' lives miserable, you don't need to be here. This rule is subjective, but if you want to participate here, *"them's the breaks"*. If you are using a default username ("ProperNoun/Noun/adjective + numbers") or you are a brand new account, your comments will be scrutinized more seriously then if you are an established member here.
  8. Public Safety regarding COVID: Anti-mask, anti-vaccine, COVID-19 denialism, spreading misinformation, attempts to downplay the severity, danger and/or risk of COVID-19 and standing up for those who do so will earn you a ban. Encouraging complacency, neglect, unhealthy habits and unwellness in the community is not allowed. Attempting to get around these rules will get you banned.
  9. There are a lot of people in healthcare on this sub. We are tired of COVID denial bullshit.
  10. No Editorialized Titles: Use suggested titles from publications for any news articles. Feel free to discuss in comments, but putting a personal spin on the title often ends in arguments.
