- This is NOT a political subreddit, keep it that way,: We understand that jackets might be posted that are ideologically incompatible with your own beliefs, we ask however that you refrain from ANY form of harassment because of this, failing to abide by this will land you a ban, we are sick of policing threads and ridiculous comment chains.
- If there is a legitimate concern, report it immediately. We will not stand for legitimate instances of racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia or the victimization of any marginalized groups.
- Rules on posting your stuff.: This sub is dedicated to the Metal subculture (we also allow Punk, Goth, Hip Hop, Country, Horror vests depending on quality of work/post) In order to post, you must meet these basic criteria.
- - Be at least roughly 80% band patches (With the exception of horror vests)
- - Have more than one patch or a handful of pins before being posted. Must have a modicum of effort invested into it.
- - You must include more than one new patch in your posts.
- No poser/tourist/casual clause: If you're not actually part of the metal sub culture/scene , and only here to start drama, you will be banned with extreme prejudice. This sub is not for you.
- No MCR patches
- Baby Metal bullshit.: They don't belong on a vest or jacket, any posts featuring these bands will be axed with extreme prejudice. This rule is not a joke, but you are.
- No fashion vests and no street wear.: Do not post pictures of your super cute denim vest with flash patches, and those ugly ass streetwear pants can take a hike too dawg.
- No selfies, videos, pet pics or bullshit.: - Don't take pictures of you wearing the vest/jacket, not in a mirror, not with a timer. You're here to get internet points for your hard work, not how you look.
- - Don't post pictures of your vest/jacket with pets (kids included). We've all seen these posts where people claim their cat just so happened to walk into frame while they were taking a picture of their jacket, do better.
- - No videos or TikToks, we don't want to see how messy your rooms are, so just take a picture, or five.
- Flair your posts.: Add the flair to your post as you see fit, but make sure you flair it.
- Gatekeeping and criticism are welcomed and encouraged.: Let's keep this sub clean.
- Merch Monday!: Every Monday we encourage everyone to post their recent merch acquisitions (as long as it fits the theme of the sub) this could be stuff like,
- Shirts, hoodies, jackets, posters/flags, collectables, hats, music(CD, LP, Tape etc, pins and anything else you think is cool.
- No posts for buying/selling/trading.: Keep all transactions, self promotion, "ISO" comments, and feedback in DM's or elsewhere..
- SEARCH!: All questions that are easily answered by a quick search within the sub or on Google will be removed. This includes but is not limited to: where to find patches and vests, how to sew, how to stud, and how to create your own patches. Please message us if you think your post has been removed in error.
