Subreddit Rules
  1. Be civil!: We want to keep the vibes up here, so treat each other with respect.
  2. Heated language can be tolerated to some degree, but harassment (repetitive patterns of unwanted criticism with the primary intention of causing upset instead of having a civil discussion) and severely vicious behavior are not! It is okay to disagree or even to disapprove, but don't be hateful about it!
  3. Do not attack or distress people who had difficult experiences with Ayahuasca. "Bad trip" posts are moderated strictly.
  4. No advertisement!: Do not promote products, retreat centers or businesses on this subreddit!
  5. However, discussions about retreat centers, trip reports and questions about which retreat might be the right one for you are still welcome!
  6. If you are a retreat owner and you want to promote your center, please go to /r/AyaRetreats
  7. In general we do not allow solicitations for charities on this subreddit and only make exceptions under certain circumstances. Please send a request to the moderator team before posting!
  8. Don't Proselytize!: While we welcome discussions about different ideas and subjects on this subreddit as long as they are related to Ayahuasca and psychedelics, trying to push your ideas, religions, opinions, etc on others is not.
  9. This also includes trying to convince people that Ayahuasca and psychedelics are just evil and should be avoided at all cost, as well as trying to convince people that Ayahuasca and psychedelics are 100% without any potential harm.
  10. Only post your art once a week: You are allowed to post your Ayahuasca and psychedelic related art (e.g. songs, pictures, etc) on this subreddit, but only once a week at max.
  11. You can put the name of the artist in the description of the title if you desire to do so and further information in the thread.
  12. This way we are trying to strike a balance between this subreddit not being flooded with too much art, but to still give people a chance to get their art out there.
  13. Only post memes or similar things once a week: Do not post memes, image macros, quotes, aphorisms, etc. more than once a week.
  14. Regarding sourcing and related issues: Asking were you can buy the plant material is allowed on this subreddit. The plant material is legal in most countries of the world.
  15. However, discussing barter and sharing of plant material is discouraged, as well as asking people to send you stuff.
  16. Articles/Websites must use Link post type: Per Reddit conventions, if you the main point of your post is a link to an article, website, etc., then use the "Link" post type, instead of a typical "Text" post that contains a hyperlink in the body of your post. Additionally, the Post Title must be the exact title of the article/page you are linking to. You may also include the publication/site name, e.g. **Ayahuasca Can Reduce Depression | The New York Times**.
  17. Rules for Users with the "Retreat Owner / Staff" and similar Flairs: Users with the "Retreat Owner / Staff" Flair...
  18. can make up to 1 new thread per week. That thread has to be useful and constructive
  19. hyperlinks.
  20. can only recommend their center in threads where people ask about their center specifically, or for General Recommendations in their vicinity, but not on threads that are specifically about other Retreats, & must state their affiliation to the organization.
  21. If a user with that flair wants to make more threads, contact the mod team first.
  22. Avoid overly opinionated, "rant-y", and/or bad faithed framing and opinions: Avoid overly opinionated, "rant-y", highly emotionally charged and/or bad faithed framing and opinions, etc.
