Subreddit Rules
  1. We believe Autism and ADHD are both disabilities.: You don't have to believe that, or maybe you believe in the model of social disability, BUT this is not the place to debate it or put down those of us who see our disability as a disability.
  2. This is a community of support.
  3. Disability isn't a bad word.
  4. No Spam: We all know what spam is... but if you need more:
  5. » Sending people outside of reddit (news articles/scholarly articles of relevance allowed), but especially for any services (unless the post specifically asks) • Repeat comments • General Spam • Suspicious links or suggestion for following someone on social media sites. • Suggesting "cures"
  6. No Gatekeeping: This sub fully supports self diagnoses & those seeking diagnoses later in life. We are aware of the “issues” with self diagnoses, but it isn’t our place to judge or gatekeeper people from knowing themselves.
  7. Respect other people: Respect all other people. This includes: • not trying to force your opinion on others • respect what others find insulting; do not insult anyone • respecting boundaries of other people
  8. This is of course not a complete list and there are many other examples of disrespecting others. Please use your common sense and try not to be disrespectful.
  9. Potentially harmful advice: You may always share things that helped you or others you know, but do not • put it in a way that reads like it will help anyone the same way • do not relativize potential harm • absolutely do not give medical advice when you don't exactly know what you're talking about, it may do way more harm than good
  10. No prejudice
  11. queerphobia, abelism, ethnic xenophobia, fatphobia or anything similar.
  12. No posts looking for study participation: This subreddit is a safe space for its members, not a place full of study/questionnaire participants. If you are looking for participants for your study/questionnaire you can do so in r/SampleSize
  13. Excluded from this rule: Community members who post survey posts on this sub, which are not intended for data collection.
  14. All subreddit rules also apply to user flairs: All aforementioned rules explicitly apply to user flairs in this subreddit, too.
  15. Content Warnings and potentially triggering posts: The title of your post has to have a content warning (CW) at the beginning (e.g. "[CW dietary] Autism and food") and the post needs to be spoilered, if you want to post content that might potentially be triggering. What counts as triggering or not should be up to the common sense of the post author.
  16. Images depicting self harm are not allowed.
  17. Posts must relate to living with AuDHD/disability: This sub is for the discussion of living with AuDHD and comorbidities and related/similar conditions in some way. Posts that are off topic or don't contribute any meaningful discussion might be removed.
  18. Outside intended audience: This sub is a femme-focused space, and is not intended for cis men. Although we do not forbid anyone from participating in a respectful manner, we urge cis men to make use of spaces that are not femme-focused, to keep this space as safe as possible for our members.
  19. No unnecessary use of AI: We discourage any and every use of AI, due to possible social, environmental and ethical impacts. The use of AI is only allowed if you need it to properly express yourself, because of personal limitations, that you will not be asked to disclose. ("Unnecessary" is a subjective term, and decisions about this rules will be left to the mod's discretion.)
