  1. Newbie questions: Questions about joining the AF through the AF Academy, ROTC, OTS, or BMT are to only be posted in our other community, /r/AirForceRecruits. Also, questions, asking about particular jobs will be posted there. Please make your posts there, and make sure to read the rules before posting.
  2. No politics.: Discussion of divisive left/right politics has no place in this community. Some political topics that relate directly to the DAF or DoD will be allowed to be discussed, if they are presented in a neutral, factual way.
  3. OPSEC/PII: Keep OPSEC in mind at all times. Do not post personally identifiable information about others or yourself. Black out names and other information if posting screenshots of emails, etc.
  4. No personal attacks
  5. name calling or personal attacks against others. Discuss differing viewpoints and ideas, but there is no reason to make it personal.
  6. Do not tell people to lie to enlist or commission: Do not tell people to lie in order to fraudulently enlist or commission. Even hinting or trying to workaround outright saying it will result in a ban.
  7. No GoFundMe/fundraising links: It's difficult to verify that the money is actually going to the person it claims to, so these types of links are not allowed.
  8. Troll posts will be deleted: If your post looks trolly, it'll be deleted.
  9. No encouraging or joking about suicide: Suicide is a huge problem for military members, veterans, and society at large, and joking about it or encouraging it, even in an indirect way will not be tolerated at all.
  10. Photos of people in uniform: Photos of people in uniform should be a public figure, or related to a news article or current event.
  11. Other photos of people in uniform should have their face and name tape obscured in some way.
  12. No making fun of people based on their appearance or personal attacks.
  13. Air Force Related: Posts should be related to the Air Force either in the text/photo/video/link, or in the title of the post. Off-topic posts will be removed.
  14. Add accurate post flair to your posts: Please add accurate flair to your post. This helps those that don't like certain content to be able to filter through the subreddit easier.
  15. Please do not make joke or mis-labeled post flair.
  16. No 'research' posts
  17. research posts for PhD candidates or any other 'research' will be posted here. We get several of these requests a week and don't need the community clogged up with repetitive posts.
  18. Satire posts must link to the original post: Satirical follow-up posts must link to the original post that they are satirizing, either in the post itself or in a comment.
